Sonic Spinball

Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball, also shortened as Sonic Spinball, is a pinball video game version in the Sonic the Hedgehog series that was developed by Sega Game Gear and Sega Master System. “Spinball” was a term formed by combining the words “pinball” and “spin dash”, a move Sonic performs. Since it is based from The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog series, the game uses avatars and elements from the cartoon. The story revolves around Mt. Mobius which Dr. Robotnik has turned into a mechanical base and named it the “Veg-O-Fortress” where the poor animals were transformed into robot slaves. It consists of four distinct levels, each with uniquely designed environments for large pinball tables : a sewer level, a geothermal power station, a robot factory, and a launchpad system. The player will have to guide and control Sonic as the “ball” as he goes through each of the four levels and collect all of the Chaos Emeralds, defeat a boss, then fight Dr. Robotnik. Only Sonic can enter and destroy the Pinball Defense System to restore the peaceful life that the creatures living in Mt. Mobius once had.
