Syndicate

Syndicate is a real-time tactical, action game available in single-player mode. It was developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronics Arts. Syndicate is the first title in the Syndicate Series. The player is tasked to control up to a four-person team of cyborg agents around the city. Missions were provided such as rescuing captured allies, persuading scientists to join the player’s company, killing all enemy agents and assassinating executives. As the game progresses, a new task will be given where the player must manage the research and development of new weaponry and cyborg upgrades. At the start of the game, set in the year 2096, the player will have a basic weapon which is the pistol. While progressing through the game, the fire power of the available weapons increases to Uzis, flamethrowers, mini-gun, time bombs, sniper riffle, lasers and the enormous destructive Gauss gun. Additionally, the player can use medical kits to heal his agents, scanners to locate vehicles and pedestrians and the Persuadertron to brainwash the enemy targets into blind obedience. The game’s objective is to establish a world-wide dominance with the established syndicate, conquer one territory at a time while eliminating rival syndicates and bringing down internal mutinies.
