About this game You are the clan chief of Midgard and you must lead the charge to destroy the creatures of the Fimbulwinter. Your village may have been destroyed but you must save what is left and not succumb to complete annihilation. You are from the Ulfung clan – the Wolves of Midgard. Choose play as a Viking warrior or a shieldmaiden. Travel through the cold lands of the Niflheim or the hot Balheim. Pay tribute to the gods using blood from your fallen enemies and receive rewards. When pushed to a corner use your Rage Mode to overwhelm your enemies. Use power-infused amulets to make the abilities of the gods your own. You can play alone or team up with a friend in coop. It retains most of what makes the genre so appealing, and the other changes, like environmental dangers, amplify the formula instead of watering it down. It doesn’t move the genre forward, though, and the lack of a custom preset combined with spotty performance on middle-of-the-road hardware will make some people see this as rather unpolished. For those who want something new in the genre, Vikings is worth a shot. Worth Playing   Is Vikings: Wolves of Midgard the kind of game that you can have a run at and finish in around the 12-15 hours it’ll take to finish its campaign? Absolutely.
